The Power of Positive Thinking - Life is Beautiful

I am a forgetful man. I always can’t remember details about everything that I did. So now, I like to write several things that I remember, so if I need to look back my history, I just open this blog as a result.

I like to write about my/our experiences in Hongkong last year (also Macau and Shenzen) at October-November 2008.

First, it is time for us to take the trip to Hong Kong.  We started the journey by taking a ferry to HongKong from Macau. Nama kapalnya adalah First Ferry. After cek passport dan keperluan imigrasi lainnya, kami langsung naik kapal ferry cepat dua tingkat ini dengan harga tiket 140 MOP (dolar Macau), yang nilainya kurang lebih Rp. 210.000,-

Setelah tiba di pelabuhan ferry di Hong Kong, kami menuju ke All Star Avenue, yang terletak di pinggir laut Hong Kong. Banyak terdapat jejak tangan dari bintang-bintang Hong Kong, seperti Jacky Chan, Jet Lee, Andy Lau, Maggie Wong, dan lain-lain. After we’re taking photos with a nice buildings view behind us then we continued our journey to jewelry store.

At the jewelry store, kebetulan saya membeli beberapa oleh-oleh untuk istri dan ibu saya. Yaitu kalung shio naga emas (280 $HK) dan gelang kesehatan (300 $HK), serta jam tangan buat saya yg kebetulan lagi diskon 50% euy (600 $HK).

Then, our journey continued to the Dragon area of Hong Kong. After passing several long tunnels yang menembus laut lepas, dan several roads yang bertingkat-tingkat. Kami sampai di pantai Hong Kong (Repulse Beach). Yang dari sini kami bisa melihat rumah Jacky Chan yang besar dan terletak (kata orang china sih di mulut Naga, feng shui-nya paling mantap). We can see several tourists take their sun bath over the sand.

After the beach trip, we went to the Jumbo Restaurant. The glamour restaurant located above the sea. To get in to this restaurant, we have to take a boat first. We’ll see some awesome yacht yang diparkir di dermaga. The restaurant itself, hmmm…  very glamor is one thing for sure. The food, hmmm… saya paling suka soup jagungnya, kita juga coba udang, beef, chicken, cumi, dan lain-lain (lainnya sih standard kayaknya dech…. Mahal karena suasananya aja nech…)

Perjalanan berlanjut ke primary hill in Hong Kong, yaitu The Peak. Setelah perjalanan berliku-liku untuk naik ke atas gunung, dengan pemandangan kota yang indah dibawah bukit yang tinggi ini. Akhirnya kami sampai juga di komplek pertokoan The Peak. Di dalam komplek ini, kami akan mengunjungi rumah lilin “Madame Tussoud” yang sangat terkenal itu. After taking pictures with candle statue of Bruce Lee, Adolf Hitler, Bill Clinton, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Jodie Foster, Ronaldinho, Muhammad Ali, and a lot of other fake but real celebrities, it seems like it will be the end of our journey today. Cause we have to get back to Macau to deliver some speech in the International Conference.

Perjalanan pulang, gak kalah serunya loh. Dari the Peak, kami turun gunung dengan menggunakan trem yang akan menuruni gunung yang tinggi itu dengan sudut 45 derajat. Grrr… Keren euy. Setelah itu, kami langsung menuju ke pelabuhan ferry untuk pulang lagi ke Venetian Hotel in Macau.

Later in the story, we will visit Hongkong for one more time. To visit Honkong Disneyland and watch the dancing light in the main area of Hongkong river and buildings.
